When Jack inherits only a cat and one silver shilling from his late, father's will, his prospects seem bleak. But Puss is no ordinary feline. Armed with a pair of magical boots, a quick wit, and a talent for outrageous schemes, Puss sets out to transform Jack into the wealthy Marquis of Carabas and win him the heart of his beloved Princess Winnie.
As Jack's jealous brothers bungle one plan after another, the wicked Fairy Pernicia and the fearsome Ogre Grimgrab hatch their own plots to stop the romance and seize the kingdom. With stolen clothes, mistaken identities, daring rescues, magical mishaps and a royal engagement hanging in the balance, Jack discovers a remarkable secret: he is the true Marquis of Carabas, heir to an estate stolen from his late parents by Grimgrab years before.
When the Princess is kidnapped on the eve of her wedding, Jack and Puss must confront the Ogre once and for all. After not one, but two thrilling showdowns, the villains are each defeated, the estate is restored to its rightful owner, and Jack and Princess Winnie finally celebrate their happily-ever-after.
